Mane 'n Tail Visits Caroline Martin!
It’s not everyday someone gets to visit the farm of one of the best eventing riders in the nation, let alone watch them go through a bit of their daily workouts and routines. Lucky for us, that’s just what we were able to do recently for an upcoming video we’re currently working on!
Buckwampum Farm in Bucks County, PA is the quaint, yet stunningly beautiful home base of Caroline Martin, one of America’s top young riders. Caroline has been named United States Eventing Association [USEA] Young Rider of the Year on four occasions.
Some of Caroline’s most recent accolades include 5th & 8th at the 2017 Bramham International U25 CCI3*; 3rd Place Team at the 2017 Nations Cup CICO3* Houghton Hall; 1st at the 2017 Carolina International CIC3*; and 2nd at the 2016 Richland Park CIC3*.
Caroline was gracious enough to allow us to bring a film crew to Buckwampum Farm to watch as she went through a typical day in the life of the current top under 25 eventing rider in the nation.
We were also able to interview Caroline and learn about her adoration for each and every horse she currently trains with along with all of the horses she's trained with in the past. Her love for her horses goes beyond the love she has for competing, and that says something. Caroline is known to be a fierce, motivated rider.
Caroline’s dedication was clear on our visit as she was eager for some of the interviews and horse washing demonstrations to come to a close so she could show us around her indoor riding arena and share her favorite thing in the world: being with her horses.
