"I've used Pro-Tect for many years to clear up skin problems on my animals and it has never failed me. It doesn't sting so when they see me coming with the bottle they don't try to run away. If you use it as directed in the instructions it will take care of most shin problems and superficial wounds but if you get heavy handed with it you could experience problems so use as directed. Highly recommended."
"I show horses and won first in a few classes. For each win, I received a bucket of Mane and Tail product. I only had been familiar with the shampoo and conditioner before. I took my prize buckets home and almost forgot about them. I mostly continued to use what I had always worked for me. Over the years when I needed something for grooming or had a issue, I'd look around the tack room. Every time, I've been pleased with the results. This last time, I needed a hoof treatment. I had used up all the thrush treatments including the Mane and Tail brand that I had and gone through gallons of another spray that was for hoof treatment along with treating wounds. The Pro-Tect spray sounded similar to the spray I had been using, but it doesn't specifically say it is for hooves. The active ingredient is different too. I've only used it a few weeks. My mare is now better than she has been in months. It is a miracle. She doesn't hobble around and has been walking soundly. She a deep crack, has accessed in the past years and has been lame. We've had her x-rayed, the farrier comes regularly and I wasn't sure she was going to be sound again. I've soaked her in different solutions. Obviously there was something in there I hadn't killed yet. I can spray this into the cracks which works better than the hoof gel. The active ingredient is the same in the hoof treatment, but stronger in the hoof treatment. I am here on Amazon shopping to buy more. I don't want to run out! My farrier in coming on Friday and boy is he going to be surprised!"

"This spray is a life-saver! My Springer spaniel had hot spots galore (they were bad, oozing, red!) and I was desperate to find a cure for them. I had tried EVERYTHING. Taking him to the vet became a $300-500 ritual and was a joke. The vet would prescribe the same thing each time: a soak, oral antibiotics and a topical antibiotic powder. When I found Mane n Tail, I thought, "this product has been around for a long time. It must be for a reason." I used this spray along with the Medicated Shampoo and conditioner. After the first bath and application of this spray, my poor pooch finally had relief and was able to sleep through the night without his extreme itchiness. I have kept using the spray for any flare ups. It dries out those hot spots like nothing else. Thank God for Mane n Tail!!!"
